The Undeniable Power of His Resurrection and Exaltation

🌿 RESURRECTION SUNDAY MESSAGE

  1. The Resurrection: A Historical, Bodily, and Verifiable Reality
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is not symbolic—it is historical, physical, and undeniable.
The Bible presents multiple layers of evidence:

📖 The Empty Tomb
In Luke 24:2–3, the stone was rolled away, and His body was not found.
This was not myth—it was a publicly verifiable ঘটনা in Jerusalem, where His enemies could have disproved it instantly.

📖 Eyewitness Testimonies
In 1 Corinthians 15:3–8, Apostle Paul records a powerful chain of witnesses:
He appeared to Cephas (Peter)
Then to the twelve
Then to over 500 brethren at once
Then to James
And finally to Paul himself
This is legal-level evidence—multiple independent eyewitnesses.

📖 Physical Interaction
Jesus did not appear as a spirit or illusion.
In Luke 24:39, He said:
“Handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”
In John 20:27, Thomas touched His wounds.
👉 This proves the Resurrection was bodily, tangible, and real.

  1. The Nature of the Resurrection: What Actually Happened?
The Resurrection was not merely coming back to life like Lazarus. It was the entrance into a new order of existence.
    According to Romans 6:9:
“Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.”
    This means:
He rose never to die again
    He conquered death permanently
He became the prototype of a new humanity
In 1 Corinthians 15:45, He is called:
    “the last Adam… a life-giving Spirit.”
👉 The Resurrection marks the birth of a new creation order.
  2. The Resurrection as Divine Validation
The Resurrection is God’s public endorsement of Jesus Christ.
    In Romans 1:4:
“Declared to be the Son of God with power… by the resurrection from the dead.”
    Also in Acts 2:24:
“Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.”
👉 Why was it impossible? Because:
    He was sinless
Death had no legal claim over Him
He carried our sins, and once they were paid for, death lost its hold
  3. The Substitutionary Victory: Why He Rose
The Resurrection is inseparable from the Cross.
    In Romans 4:25:
“Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
    This means:
    His death paid for sin
His resurrection proves the payment was accepted
    No resurrection = no justification.
    But because He rose:
    You are declared righteous
You are no longer under condemnation (Romans 8:1)
👉 This is where PEACE is born.
  4. The Power Dimension: The Same Power at Work in Us
The Resurrection is not only an event—it is an ongoing power in the believer.
In Ephesians 1:19–20, Paul speaks of:
“the exceeding greatness of his power… which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead.”
    This power:
    Raised Christ
    Defeated Satan
    Broke death
And now: 👉 It is working in you
  5. The Peace That Flows from the Resurrection
After rising, Jesus’ first declaration was intentional:
    In John 20:19:
    “Peace be unto you.”

This peace is rooted in:
Justification (Romans 5:1)
Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18–19)
Victory over fear and death
This is why Colossians 1:20 says He made peace through the blood of His cross.

👉 Peace is not emotional—it is legal, spiritual, and eternal.

  1. The Ascension: The Completion of the Resurrection Victory
The Resurrection finds its full expression in the Ascension.
In Acts 1:9–11, He was taken up into heaven.
    But what happened next?
    In Ephesians 1:20–22:
He sat at the right hand of God
Far above all principalities and powers
With all things under His feet
👉 This is enthronement, not disappearance.
  2. Our Union With Him: The Ultimate Reality of Peace
    Now comes the mystery revealed:
    In Ephesians 2:6:
“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
    This means:
    His resurrection is your resurrection
    His victory is your victory
    His position is your position
You are not trying to reach peace—
👉 You are seated in peace

🔥 CONCLUSION: THE DOCTRINE OF RESURRECTION AND THE REIGN OF PEACE
The Resurrection proves:
Jesus is alive
Sin is defeated
Death is conquered
Righteousness is established
The Ascension proves:
Jesus reigns
Authority is established
Dominion is secured
And together, they produce:

✨ PEACE — The settled state of the believer in Christ

🙏 FINAL DECLARATION
Christ is risen — historically, physically, eternally.
Christ is ascended — glorified, enthroned, reigning.
And because of Him:
You are justified.
You are victorious.
You are seated.
You have PEACE. 🕊️
