Introduction — Joy Is the Fruit of Faith in the Kingdom
March reminds us: Joy is not optional in the Kingdom—it is your spiritual inheritance.
Kingdom joy is not dependent on circumstances, performance, or external validation.
It is rooted in righteousness by faith, flowing from your position in Christ.
Romans 5:1–2 says:
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
Notice carefully: Faith leads to access. Righteousness gives position. Access produces joy.
Point 1: Faith Unlocks Kingdom Joy
Faith is not merely belief; it is confidence in the finished work of Jesus.
Romans 4:5 reminds us:
“…to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
You cannot earn it.
You cannot deserve it.
You simply receive it.
Faith is the key that opens the door to joy.
Joy is the response of the heart that rests in righteousness.
Point 2: Righteousness Is the Foundation of Joy
Righteousness is your spiritual status in God. It is not performance, but position.
Romans 5:17:
“…those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”
When you confess your righteousness, joy flows.
When you rest in your position, your heart overflows.
When you act from the authority of Christ, your life becomes a channel of Kingdom delight.
Kingdom joy is inseparable from righteousness—it is the natural expression of a heart that knows it belongs to God.
Point 3: Joy Is the Evidence of Kingdom Living
Galatians 5:22–23 lists the fruit of the Spirit:
“…love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
Joy is not an emotion—it is a spiritual fruit produced by faith and righteousness.
Kingdom joy is consistent, not fleeting.
It thrives even when circumstances oppose you, because it is rooted in the unshakable truth of God’s Kingdom.
John 15:11 says:
“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”
Notice: fullness of joy comes from abiding in Christ, not striving for life’s circumstances.
