Date: Thursday 22nd January 2026
Year Theme: Supernatural Restoration
Scripture Reading
Malachi 4:6 (KJV)
“And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers…”
DEVOTIONAL INSIGHT
Families are God’s first institution, and marriage is His covenant idea.
When families suffer breakdown, society weakens; when marriages collapse, destinies are affected.
In 2026, God is not merely restoring individuals —
He is restoring homes, relationships, and family altars.
Supernatural marital and family restoration is God stepping into places where:
Communication broke down
Love grew cold
Trust was damaged
Peace was lost
Roles became confused
What human counselling could not fix, grace will now heal.
WHAT MARITAL & FAMILY RESTORATION MEANS
- Restoration of Love and Covenant Commitment
Marriage is not sustained by emotion alone, but by covenant consciousness.
“What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matthew 19:6)
God is restoring:
Genuine affection
Mutual respect
Patience and forgiveness
Covenant understanding
Love is being renewed not as feeling, but as choice and commitment. - Restoration of Communication and Understanding
Many homes suffer not from hatred, but from silence and misunderstanding.
“Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” (James 1:19)
In this season:
Hearts are softened
Listening replaces accusation
Understanding replaces assumption
God restores conversation before correction. - Restoration of Peace and Emotional Safety
Homes were designed to be places of rest, not stress.
“My peace I give unto you…” (John 14:27)
God is restoring:
Calm where chaos ruled
Safety where fear existed
Peace where tension dominated
The atmosphere of the home is shifting by grace. - Restoration of Parental Authority and Child Alignment
God restores order without oppression and authority without abuse.
“Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6)
This year:
Parents regain wisdom and patience
Children rediscover honour and obedience
Generational gaps are bridged
Hearts are turning back to one another. - Restoration of the Family Altar
A praying family is a protected family.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)
God is restoring:
Family prayer
Shared devotion
Spiritual leadership in the home
When the altar returns, order follows.
HOW MARITAL & FAMILY RESTORATION IS ACTIVATED
Humility and forgiveness – Ephesians 4:32
Intentional communication – Proverbs 18:21
Prayer together – Matthew 18:19–20
God-centered leadership – Ephesians 5:23
Patience with process – Ecclesiastes 3:11
Restoration begins when hearts soften.
PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I commit my marriage and family into Your hands. Heal every wound, restore love where it has faded, and bring peace where there has been tension. Turn our hearts back to one another and rebuild our family altar. Let our home reflect Your glory and grace. Amen.
