TEXT: 2 SAMUEL 9:3

The king asked, “Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?” Ziba answered the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan; he is lame in both feet.”

A man called me a few years ago and said to me, you have a message that the body of Christ needs, but you are surrounded by people who don’t believe in encouraging those coming behind them. Come to Benin let’s meet. On getting to Benin, he said to me, you are going to be part of my ministers conference this year. I will feature you with two fathers, on two separate editions, and invite all my sons and friends to be part of it. Just go back home and put your house in order, so that when you begin to move, there won’t be any lapsis at home. October that year, he featured me, and Benin city got to know they have a brother that is in warri, with something to offer. Since then, my ministry to the body of Christ became recognized. Today, how to refuse an invitation without offending your intended host, is the wisdom I am believing God for. Everything happening today can be traced to that phone call. That is the power of recommendation. Some people won’t give you money but they have the contacts that will give you the money you need. Never joke with them.

Relationship is everything.

THE TWELVE POWERS OF RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. It will open doors for you any day and any time.
2. It will help your gifts to find expressions.
3. It will make you sit with the great in the land.
4. It will solve your money problem for life.
5. It will spread your impact.
6. It will increase your value.
7. It will increase your contacts.
8. It is a strong reward system.
9. It will give you acceptance. People accept you based on who recommended you.
10. It will bring you to a new level of honour.
11. It will handle your battles against rejection. You can be alone again. As they try to cut people off from you, your recommender is connecting more people to you.
12. It is the greatest endorsement on earth.

THE SEVEN LAWS OF RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. Never recommend casually. You can lose the power to recommend, if the one you recommend goes there to misbehave. Sometimes, you have only one slot, don’t misuse it.
2. You can be betrayed by the one you recommend. Recommend only who you truly know very well. There are friends who are trying to relate with the same friend they took a friend to.
3. You can be replaced if the one you recommend is determined to replace you. Never recommend a desperate man.
4. Never accept the recommendation of a wrong man.You can suffer from the sins of your recommender. Who introduced you matters alot. By all means refuse the introduction of a questionable character.
5. Never accept a recommendation for which you can’t deliver. It will close further doors against you. If you say you can prophesy without any form of assistance, go there and prophesy, instead of going to create all kinds of problems for your host. How can you say you are a teacher, only for you to enter a meeting and be shouting fire for one hour?
6. The man who recommend you can still give a remark that will make them reject you. My lord, He is a good man, but he is lame on both feet. What is a cripple doing in the palace of a king? I call it recommendation with reservations.
7. The recommendation that will be a blessing to you, will also come with a price you have to pay. Always weigh the price in the light of your destiny.

TEN QUALITIES OF THE MAN THAT WILL ENJOY RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. Be a man of integrity and a man of good character.
2. Be a man that is flexible. You must not be static. Dr Mike Murdock wore white gown to minister in Celestial church.
3. Be a man with a good Name.
4. Be very simple. Not difficult to relate with. Maintain your values but be simple.
5. Have the capacity to relate with all kinds of people. What will you do if your father in the Lord, goes with you to minister for the same man you believe is fake? You will then understand contact without contamination.
6. Be a problem solver. Have an area you can handle very well.
7. Be very secretive. Even if it means covering what is wrong. Every great man is hiding something. They will only admit a man that can die with their secret.
8. Be a good giver. There are doors everywhere, you are the one who wants to eat alone. So you may die alone.
9. Be very humble. Stop arguing with your helpers. Stop correcting your helpers as your juniors. Go and learn how to say sir, when talking to people you need. Nothing hinders the destiny of a man, like an attitude that irritates a very rich helper. Go and start learning how to honour your mates that God has helped.
10. Always appreciate those who God used in recommending you. Either in words or in your actions.
