Truth in Love – No Tolerance for Evil

Daily Grace Devotional September 28, 2025

Theme: Effectiveness of Prayer

📖 “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” – Ephesians 5:11 (NKJV)
One of the greatest tragedies of our time is the silence of Christians in the face of open rebellion against God’s Word.

Homosexuality is not simply “people expressing their feelings” or “discovering themselves.” Scripture makes it clear—it is a demonic perversion of God’s design (Romans 1:26–27). Behind every cultural celebration of sin, there is a spirit of deception at work, seeking to normalize rebellion and silence truth.

And yet, many believers, in the name of “love,” remain silent. But silence is not love—it is betrayal. To refuse to speak truth when souls are at stake is to side with the enemy. Paul warns us that when we keep quiet, we give approval to the very things that grieve God’s Spirit (Romans 1:32).

Jesus is our perfect example. He did not teach tolerance of evil. He did not pat sin on the back and say, “It’s your truth.” He overturned the tables of compromise in the temple (John 2:15). He extended mercy to prostitutes, tax collectors, and sinners—but always with the call to repentance. His love was not indulgence; it was deliverance.

True love tells the truth. If a house is on fire, love does not smile at the residents—it shouts “Get out!” If sin is dragging a generation into hell, love does not whisper approval—it points them to the Cross.

But here is where many Christians fail: in reacting with harshness instead of compassion, or in retreating into silence to avoid conflict. Both are errors. The balance is found in speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Love does not compromise truth; truth does not exclude love. Together, they form the sword and shield of our witness.
🔥 Why This Matters Now

The culture is discipling children to embrace confusion.

Governments are legislating sin and calling it progress.

The media is flooding homes with lies that dull discernment.

If the Church does not rise to speak with clarity, the silence will be interpreted as agreement. And when the righteous keep quiet, iniquity abounds (Matthew 24:12).
🕊 Confession
Lord, I will not be silent. I reject the lie of tolerance that approves what You condemn. Fill me with boldness to speak truth in love, to expose the works of darkness, and to call sinners into the glorious light of Christ.
🙏 Prayer
Father, give Your Church courage to confront the spirit of this age. Let us not bow to the idol of cultural acceptance, but stand like Jesus—full of grace and truth. Let our words pierce deception, and our love lead many to repentance and freedom.
