The Name of Jesus

Daily Grace Devotional – September 27th, 2025

Theme: Effectiveness of Prayer

Topic: The Name of Jesus — Your Badge of Authority

📖 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” – John 14:13 (KJV)

The Name of Jesus is not a religious catchphrase. It is Heaven’s legal endorsement, your badge of divine authority. To pray in His Name is to stand clothed in His victory, backed by His triumph, and armed with His dominion. When you invoke His Name, it is as though Jesus Himself speaks through you.

Paul declared that God “highly exalted Him and gave Him the Name above every name” (Philippians 2:9–10). That Name rules over principalities, governments, ideologies, sicknesses, and demonic deceptions. Every knee—whether in heaven, on earth, or under the earth—must bow to the authority of Jesus.

This is why we cannot stay silent in a generation where darkness parades itself boldly. Homosexuality, gender confusion, and the perversion of children’s innocence are not “progressive ideas.” They are demonic lies, and they bow only to the authority of Christ declared through His people. Silence gives consent; bold prayer in Jesus’ Name enforces His victory.

When Peter faced a crippled man at the temple gate, he did not negotiate or sympathize—he invoked authority: “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). Instantly, the man leapt to his feet. That is what effective prayer looks like—prayer that enforces Heaven’s will on earth.
Beloved, you carry that same authority. Use the Name of Jesus to cast out devils, heal the sick, silence fear, and confront the lies of the enemy in your city, your family, and your generation. This is not about volume or emotion—it’s about revelation. When you know what the Name represents, you pray with boldness, and results must follow.
🔥 Why This Matters Today

The Church is not called to tolerate darkness but to overthrow it.

Demons do not bow to arguments; they bow to the authority of the Name.

Our effectiveness in prayer is measured by how boldly and consistently we wield the Name of Jesus.

🕊 Confession
I live and function in the power of the Name of Jesus. That Name works for me everywhere, enforcing dominion and victory. In His Name, I cast out devils, heal the sick, confront lies, and establish righteousness in my world.
🙏 Prayer
Dear Father, thank You for granting me the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus. I refuse to be silent in the face of darkness. By that Name, I enforce Christ’s victory in my life, my home, my city, and my generation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
