*CHRIST’S REDEMPTIVE WORK And Prayer

(You Have Peace With God Through The Lord Jesus Christ)

TO THE BIBLE

📖 Romans 4:24–25 (NKJV)
“But also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.”

Devotional Thought :

Again, one of the greatest hindrances to prayer for many believers is the lingering consciousness of sin, guilt, and unworthiness.

When believers see themselves as struggling sinners begging for mercy rather than as justified sons standing in righteousness, prayer becomes weak, fearful, and ineffective.
But the Word of God clears this misunderstanding. Romans 4:25 declares that Jesus was not only delivered for our offenses but was raised again for our justification. That means the resurrection was Heaven’s legal receipt that the price for sin had been fully paid. The believer is now declared innocent—not just forgiven, but justified.
The Greek word “dikaiosis” for justification means “acquittal, absolution, a legal declaration of innocence.” Imagine a courtroom where the Judge not only cancels your charges but declares that you never committed the crime in the first place. That is what God did for us in Christ. This truth is the bedrock of effective prayer.

When you know you are justified, you don’t approach God with fear or hesitation—you come boldly. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Notice that word: boldly. Not timidly. Not uncertainly. Boldness comes from righteousness-consciousness.

This is why James 5:16 (AMPC) says, “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Prayer becomes dynamic, effective, and full of power when it flows from the understanding that you are already righteous. Not will be, not trying to be—but you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Beloved, the devil fears a righteous, conscious believer. He knows you have legal authority in prayer. He knows that when you stand before God as one justified, acquitted, and free, heaven backs your petitions with divine force. This is why his biggest weapon is to keep Christians in guilt and self-condemnation.

But here is the good news: as a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), your old record no longer exists. God doesn’t remember your sins (Hebrews 10:17). You are not a sinner saved by grace—you were a sinner, but now you are a saint, justified by faith, and at peace with God (Romans 5:1).
When this reality grips your spirit, prayer becomes effortless. Instead of begging, you decree. Instead of hoping, you know. Instead of wavering, you stand firm, because righteousness makes your prayer life unshakable and fruitful.
So, the next time you kneel to pray, remind yourself: I am justified. I am righteous. I am at peace with God. My prayers avail much, because I stand in Christ’s finished work. That revelation is the secret to effective prayer!

GO DEEPER

📖 Romans 5:17 (AMPC)
“…much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace and the free gift of righteousness reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”
📖 Romans 3:26 (AMPC)
“…that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus.”
📖 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
📖 James 5:16 (NKJV)
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

SPEAK

The resurrection of Jesus Christ has justified me, and I now stand as the righteousness of God in Christ. My prayers are powerful, effective, and dynamic because I come boldly, without fear, into the presence of God. I reign in life through the gift of righteousness.

ACT

Write down three Scriptures that affirm your righteousness in Christ. Declare them out loud in prayer today, and watch boldness and confidence rise in your spirit.
