We fearlessly take our place.

We are doing the things that a Righteous man would do in our place.
We are witnessing as a Righteous man would witness.
We get our reward and crown for our fearless confession before the world.
I want to be sure that you are getting your share of the blessings that come to those who “do Righteousness.” Rom. 5:17-21 ushers us into the real Holy of Holies of Righteousness. May I give you Weymouth’s translation. “For if, through the transgression of the one individual, Death made use of the one individual to seize the sovereignty, all the more shall those who receive God’s overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in Life through the one individual, Jesus Christ.”

We reign as kings in the realm of Eternal Life. We take the initiative out of the hands of the enemy on the ground of this gift of Righteousness which God has given us. Then in the 21st verse, “But where sin increased, grace has overflowed; in order that as sin has exercised kingly sway in inflicting death, so grace, too, may, exercise kingly sway in bestowing a righteousness which results in the Life of the Ages through Jesus Christ our Lord.” I think that is one of the most masterly translations ever given. We reign as kings in this realm of life where we have served as slaves in the realm of spiritual death.

We have been held in bondage as a race ever since the Fall of man. Now we have discovered this gold mine of Righteousness that makes us reign as kings, that gives us authority over the works of the Adversary, that uncovers the very wealth and riches of the Father’s grace. We now exercise kingly sway in this realm of Righteousness over the forces that would hold us in bondage.
