Managing Access in Relationships

In my little experience,very few know how to manage familiarity and access and not abuse it.

They often feel a close relationship is an excuse for lacking value for persons in their lives.

Including husband-wife, siblings, classmates,etc relationships.

We often get fussy and furious when others take advantage of relationships we have or had despised.

Once again,all God has are earthen vessels and the Excellency of His power is in them .

I suppose some become jittery when others seem to” idolize”( in traducing terms ) their relationships,leaders etc because they assume it’s hero worship.

No it’s not .

Everyone has his story and why he places much value on persons and relationships

Also some are just very loyal .

In Luke 7, many wondered why a woman was adulating Jesus so much

He quipped and responded to Peter..

Luke 7:44-46 KJV
And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. [45] Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. [46] My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

He was teaching Peter value.

“Peter why didn’t you do this rather than grumble”

At times it’s people like this prostitute that give value not those who have the unfettered access .

Hear Jesus’ conclusion

Luke 7:47 KJV
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

Some see more than you see .

Hence their “hero worship “

I know folks who disdain those I greatly honor .

I don’t hold a grudge against them .

It’s their choice to place value or under value .

But don’t begrudge me if I value what I adore .

I won’t belly Ache at any one calling his friend , hubby,parent ,boss ,pastor ,church , and referring to them as best in the world .

It’s not worship.

It’s value .

I don’t know their story.

Such persons they value might have really been God’s life saver for them and more .

Hence it’s no head ache for me as long as it furthers their course and His cause !
