A lesson I learnt from two different yet similar stories

A man was owing my dad much money and my dad haven retired was in dire need of it ,yet he ( the debtor)in the same vein had fallen into the tortuous hands of the military government in 1997,locked up for months ,despite the stories of the man’s indebtedness going round ,my dad NEVER shared this with anyone .
He eventually came out and paid and of course much later as it took him a while to bounce back .

Few years later ,My Dad passed on and the man who had now become one of Nigeria’s billionaires ,then returned the favor to me in such a way that even the gospel benefited from it ,he gave my company a contract in a sphere I had never been involved before ,and unlike many other contractors he had ,he paid us (my company ) well.
He said to my partner..”I am only paying back His dad ,he did more for me than he could even imagine “

Another one was 2006

We had gone to see a famous Oil and Gas trader in order to secure a transaction ,as we negotiated, he told us how he was an aide to a former Nigerian leader who was incarcerated and unfortunately was owing him and also kept some Sacred information with him ,whilst this former Nigerian leader was in jail ,the authorities came after him ( this man )seeking information to implicate the Nigerian leader,he ( the aide ) never budged ,they confiscated his property and sold it off etc ,he never buckled under the pressure still.He had even become impoverished and at some point he didn’t have up to 3000 in his bank accounts

The Nigerian leader was released and eventually was elected into a major office in Nigeria ,the Former aide then attempted to see him for four years (his first term )and wasn’t attended to ,the man was again re elected for another four years and sent for the aide on his own !After four years ,altogether 8 years of no communication!

As he saw him at the appointed date ,the man ( Nigerian leader) then quipped “I knew you were looking for me for four years ,I deliberately avoided seeing you, watching if you will be so pressured to eventually squeal …”
But I now know you are a loyal man.

Well no need to go further ,he was not just handsomely rewarded, he was excellently rewarded ,I am sure his grand children will be fortunate they have such a grand dad .

Even being under pressure isn’t an excuse to be unfaithful and squeal foolishly

Many times we wonder why some are so rewarded,it might just be in such details .

Just a lesson or lessons I learnt !
