He Willed Us His Name

All this was in fulfilment of the words spoken by Jesus Christ before His ascension.

“In My Name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing it shall in no wise harm them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.”

This power was not in the Holy Spirit but in the. Spirit’s enabling the disciples to use the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. All power is in the Name of the risen Man Christ Jesus Who is seated at the Father’s right hand in the heavens.

The power is not in fasting or consecration, not in long prayers, but it is in the simple Name of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God. Men are seeking power – they call it Pentecostal power they seek it in all directions but the right one; it is in the Name – seek it there.

If you learn to use the Name according to the Word, in the power of the Spirit, you have the secret which shook the world through the apostles.
