Unchristocentric Lessons to Learn From Dr. Abel Damina

TEN UNCHRISTOCENTRIC lessons to learn from Dr Abel Damina.

I understand many people don’t pay attention when following leaders who are loud on doctrine, many are often too hooked on doctrine that they don’t observe simple things, especially in the christocentric circle, it appears many prefer to amplify their leader’s extremes than catch some simple lessons.

If you are a christocentric preacher and you follow Dr Damina, let me help you with some lessons that you might have been too zealous to learn.

  1. Dr Damina and his wife are very well in sync as they do their ministry.

She often by his side.

Learn that.

Some of you have no functional relationships.

Some of you are getting older by the year, no wife, no understanding of what it even means to lead a wife, all you know is that Jesus is the fulfillment of the scriptures.

Grow up and have a functional relationship life.

Mid-life crisis hits and a good wife is important in life.

Some of you are married but your projection of life is single.

All you know is IN-CHRIST, you don’t even know what PDA means. Some of you don’t have pictures of yourselves and your wives, all you know is exegesis. As you follow exegesis, also learn this sync, it is important.

  1. You see how his wife glows. These are elderly people, glowing. You also, learn this.

Your wife shouldn’t be looking like agbado tree in dry season, you should ensure your wife actually looks fresh. It is important.

Be romantic, be passionate, care for anesthetics.

Some of you are more deeper than SU, you just added IN-CHRIST to it.

Learn to glow.

Invest in your wife’s body.

Biko try.

  1. Dr Damina dresses very well. For someone of his age. He dresses well. I am particularly impressed by this. I mean you know how it is, i got my swagger on, fly, fly.

I wonder how many suits he has though, he combines ties and pocket fillers well, even has a great choice for tie pins.

His jackets and shirts fits right with pants and shoes.

Note this too.

As you are learning how to find Christ in Nahum, learn this one too.

Some of you dress like projects of war, even in your 20s, if they ask you, you will say those things don’t count.

Watch his use of jewelries, his finesse.

I know I am the carnal one, I will show you what you are missing because some of you know how to look but you cannot see.

  1. Do you see the beauty that exudes from his ministry’s building?

The stage, the LED screen, the arrangement etc

You see the texture of his service pictures?

You notice the texture of the sound?

All those things count o.

Your mother asked me to tell you that it counts, because you will leave that place now and it is how to start ministry under tree that will be doing you, all in the name of we preach Christ alone. 🙄

Ehen, as you attempt to do 20 hours exegesis on Gehenna and Tartarus, learn that one too.

It is important.

  1. Arguably no other christocentric preacher has a greater aggression using social media as Dr Damina.

That counts for something.

If he is not preaching live in church.

He will do a live video from his house, his hostel room, he will do something.

Now he has added reels to them.

Observe well.

Some of you still claim you are not the social media type, you don’t even have 2% his reach yet you won’t push yourself, be playing!

  1. You can see him in pictures with his daughters.

The daughters are doing good with their music, art etc

He sometimes promotes their work when they release it.

I suppose one of them reads the Bible for him often.

That’s good stuff.

Learn from that too.

That’s some synergy with family.

Good dad vibes.

  1. Controversy is not necessarily wrong.

As long as it points to truth.

Dr Damina will often speak on current issues while he preaches, and thus go viral.

Call it what you may, he keeps his relevance.

Now, I don’t approve of how he addresses most issues, but he doesn’t need my approval anyways, I just ensure I also counter whatever he says wrong because unlike him, I am in a generation of people who will do very badly if they don’t have a whole perspective on matters.

  1. He writes books often.

The moment you have some influence as a preacher, you must start writing books.

Either hard copy or not.

Your written materials are very important at replicating knowledge and establishing influence.

  1. He has an outspokeness about him that is very necessary for ministry.

Again, I wish he always say something better but honestly, every preacher needs some spine like that.

To say things with your full chest.

His relevance is in that capacity.

You can see that.

Although he has the capacity to say those things given his pedigree and age but as a young minister, you must not be a fearful one, you should be able to say things respectfully but with all frankness.

It is important. Confidence is charming.

Audacity is charming. People follow the audacious even if the audacious is wrong!

Know that.

  1. Dr Damina is physically strong. I remember one time he called me and we got talking, I asked him how he is able to keep the tempo of his voice the way he does and speak for days without losing it.

I have lost my voice many times just keeping that tempo, preachers can attest to the fact that his tempo and energy is quite high, even for his age.

He had ideas to share with me at the time.

I am sure he will have a health regiment too.

We all should be strong and active when we get to his age.

Those of you who think I have personal issues with him don’t understand the history, doctrine needs to be delivered from a whole perspective and Dr Damina will hopefully improve at that, I honestly wish he does, God has given him influence and I wish a better sense of wholeness is communicated through him the more.

Blessed.
