Our Identity

Believers often hesitate to acknowledge their identity in Christ and to live accordingly, yet the Word of God clearly states what we possess in Him. Our redemption from the power of darkness and our translation into the kingdom of Christ are established realities. Through His sacrifice, Jesus secured our redemption and the forgiveness of sins, providing a legal basis for eternal life.

The righteousness of God, obtained through faith in Jesus, frees us from guilt and inferiority, granting us peace with God. Jesus’ sacrifice not only addressed present sins but also redeemed those under the first covenant, demonstrating God’s righteousness. This eternal redemption cleanses not just outwardly but also inwardly, creating a new nature in believers.

In Christ, we become new creations, with the old sinful nature crucified with Him. Through faith, we receive eternal life and a restored relationship with God, allowing us to live in victory over sin and fear. The law, fulfilled in Christ, no longer holds sway over believers, who now live under the new covenant governed by love.

As new creations, we inherit every spiritual blessing in Christ and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live victoriously. Our righteousness in Christ enables us to master circumstances and stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. United with Christ, we possess His nature and are empowered to love others unconditionally, reflecting the love of the Father.

Furthermore, we are endowed with a measure of faith from God, enabling us to walk in good works prepared for us. As God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, we have the privilege and responsibility to live out our identity as His sons and daughters. By acting on the Word of God and confessing our identity in Christ, we bring glory to Him and strengthen our faith, embracing the truth of who we are in Him.
